FM Estimator

Job Overview

We’re seeking an experienced FM Estimator to produce accurate, timely cost estimates for facilities management scopes across maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and installations. You’ll analyze drawings and site conditions, quantify labor/materials/equipment, liaise with procurement and delivery teams, and benchmark against historical data to ensure competitive, compliant bids and reliable project budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural/structural/MEP drawings and specifications to define scope and pricing assumptions.
• Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and preliminaries; build BOQs and cost breakdowns.
• Conduct site visits to validate quantities, access constraints, and methodology; document risks and exclusions.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement to refine pricing, secure quotations, and optimize value.
• Maintain and update a historical cost database (rates, productivity norms, vendor pricing, CMMS outputs).
• Present estimates, cash flows, and budgets to management; recommend cost-saving alternatives and VE options.
• Track actuals vs. estimates; analyze variances and propose corrective actions for future submissions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years estimating experience within the Facilities Management industry.
• Certification in FM/Cost Estimating (e.g., IFMA, AACE) preferred.
• Working knowledge of CMMS; strong Excel/estimating tools proficiency.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and stakeholder communication.
