Inspector - Wet Utilities

Job Overview

AECOM is hiring a full-time, on-site Inspector – Wet Utilities in Dubai to ensure quality, safety, and compliance of water supply, sewage, and drainage works across citywide projects. You’ll review drawings/specs, conduct site inspections, document findings, and collaborate with contractors and engineers to resolve issues while upholding UAE codes and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect wet utility installations (potable, sewer, storm drainage) for compliance with project specs and codes.
• Review/interpret drawings, shop drawings, ITPs and method statements; verify materials and workmanship.
• Identify and report NCRs/deficiencies; follow up on corrective actions and close-outs.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, daily site records, and photo documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project managers to resolve technical issues.
• Use specialized tools/equipment to assess system performance; enforce HSE protocols during inspections.
• Attend project meetings; provide technical input and progress updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related.
• 3–5 years in wet utilities inspection or related field within UAE/GCC preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building/plumbing codes and international standards.
• Proficient in reading drawings, specs, and using inspection software/MS Office.
• Certified Plumbing Inspector or equivalent is advantageous.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail; willing to travel across Dubai sites.
