Job Overview

The Electrical supervisor will be responsible for supervising the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical systems on construction sites. This role requires expertise in electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting systems, and low-voltage systems. The Electrical Foreman will manage a team of electricians, ensuring that all electrical installations are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of electricians and electrical helpers, assigning tasks and ensuring work is completed according to specifications and safety standards.
• Oversee the installation of electrical power distribution systems, lighting systems, and low-voltage systems.
• Perform regular inspections of electrical installations to ensure compliance with local electrical codes, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate electrical work with other trades (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, civil works) to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for electrical system issues, including faults in power supply, lighting, or low-voltage systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical systems or related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Knowledge of power distribution systems, electrical wiring & cabling, switchgear & circuit breakers, and lighting systems.
• Familiarity with local and international electrical safety standards, including grounding, circuit protection, and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements.
• Proficient in using electrical measurement tools (multimeter, insulation resistance tester, etc.).
